The Nevada Teacher Academy College Pathway Program (TACPP) gives high school students an opportunity to begin preparing for a career in education while still in high school. Through coursework, college-credit opportunities, Work-Based Learning, and hands-on experiences, students can explore the teaching profession while building a pathway toward college, teacher licensure, and a rewarding career as a Nevada educator.
TACPP offers two pathways with one destination—becoming a Nevada educator.
Complete two years of approved Teaching and Training coursework.
Complete 12 approved college credits in education-related coursework.
Both Path 1 and Path 2 require students to complete a 15-hour Work-Based Learning internship, providing valuable, real-world experience in an educational setting. View TACPP map
TACPP can also provide an important financial benefit. Eligible students who successfully complete the program and meet applicable requirements may qualify for reimbursement of college tuition costs after becoming a Nevada educator and completing the required period of approved teaching service.
